L.C. King Manufacturing manufactures its Pointer Brand work and hunting apparel in the United States. After founding the company in 1913, Landon Clayton King named the Pointer brand after his championship bird dogs and fashioned the logo after his favorite dog, Carolina Bill. The Pointer line consists of high-back, low-back and carpenter overalls; carpenter jeans and blue jeans; coveralls; hunting clothes; denim jackets; and shorts for adults and children. In recent marketing and advertising, L.C. King has dubbed its rugged but stylish denim everywear to highlight its easy transition from work wear to casual wear. The company still operates out its original location, which has survived two floods, in Bristol, Tenn.
