Head Start is a federally funded program designed to work with at risk children and their families. It serves children and families with educational, mental health, disabilities, health, nutritional, transportation and social services. It provides various activities and projects for parents, such as education, community activities and training in parenting skills. Head start provides support with counseling, clothing and transportation to service agencies. It serves various counties, such as serving Hancock, Ohio, Hawkins, Tenn., Johnson, Ga. and Sullivan, N.Y.
