Methodists have met in Manchester since 1812, when Isaac Conger was appointed to the Elk River Circuit. The land where Manchester First United Methodist Church sits was donated to the Trustees of the Methodist Episcopal Church in 1836. A frame building was erected there in 1852 and in 1883 part of the present brick building was erected. Various renovations, including one completed in 2006, brought us to where we are today. While we celebrate our heritage and are excited by the updates to our building, it's the people of Manchester FUMC who step out in faith every day to make disciples of Christ. We strive to strengthen lives through prayer, teaching, worship, service and witness. Please get to know us by browsing this site. When you're in the area, we'd welcome the chance to get to know you in person. Our services are at 8: 25 AM and two distinct services at 10: 55 AM Sunday mornings, with fellowship and coffee time at 9: 30 and Sunday School at 9: 50. ( click for a map to our location! )
