Fall Creek Falls State Resort Park is one Tennessee s most scenic and spectacular recreation areas. Its waterfalls, cascades, sparkling streams, gorges, timberland and an unmatched variety of recreation facilities and activities have also made it one of the most popular parks in the Southeast. Fall Creek Falls is one of the highest waterfalls east of the Rocky Mountains, plunging 256 feet into a shaded pool at the base of its gorge. Inside the park are both first class recreational facilities and untrammeled pristine wilderness. A Naturalist is on duty year round to provide orientation slideshows of the park. Fifty miles of trails, including twenty-five miles of backpacking trails, and twenty miles of biking trails, lead the visitor away from the roads and into the wilderness at Fall Creek. The park is located in Bledsoe and Van Buren counties, 11 miles east of Spencer and 18 miles west of Pikeville.
