The Millersville Police Department is responsible for all law enforcement and crime prevention activities, as well as conducts crime investigations. It has a code enforcement unit that addresses public health and safety issues, including regulations related to garbage, removal of vegetation, zoning, dangerous buildings, housing and inoperable vehicles on private property. The department undertakes various criminal cases and works with other state, local and federal agencies to ensure public safety. It has an investigation division that investigates criminal offenders and prepares social history reports.
