Jim Craig graduated from the University of South Dakota School of Law in 1976 and has been practicing law since 1977. Jim has extensive bankruptcy experience, having served as a bankruptcy trustee from 1981 to 1995. As president of the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees from 1987 to 1988, Jim met and worked with trustees and bankruptcy judges from around the country. Jim has written several legal works, lectured and testified before congress on bankruptcy matters. Jim serves as counsel for debtors and creditors in chapters 7, 11, 12, and 13. Jim is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, the American Bar Association, and the South Dakota Bar Association, and has served on various bar committees including the Debtor-Creditor Committee.
