By taking online classes, tuition rates and overhead costs are more affordable than traditional university rates. That means students can enroll in one of our many classes and set your own schedules to learn at your own speed without paying high tuition for strict schedules and deadlines. ILT focuses on critical thinking, learning, and assisting our students to achieve your God-given calling. That's why our fully-accredited online college offers many flexible seminary programs, including Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate degrees. Seeing our students graduate and live the life you're meant to live is one of our primary goals. The Institute of Lutheran Theology uses Microsoft Teams so students can engage with professors and other students at your convenience. Hold one-on-one meetings, participate in class conversations, work on group projects, and more. Study your course lectures and complete projects from the comfort of your home, at a coffee shop, the public library, or wherever you feel most at ease. ILT programs include the Doctor of Ministry and Doctor of Philosophy. You can also earn a Master of Ministry in Chaplaincy or Master of Ministry. Two of our B.A. degrees are the Bachelor of Arts in Entrepreneurial Studies and Bachelor of Arts in Theology. Our Associate degrees include Associate of Arts in Biblical Studies and Associate of Arts in History of Religions. We offer certifications too, including a Pastoral Ministry Certificate or Youth and Family Certificate. There are two open studies options as well, the Graduate Open Studies and Undergraduate Open Studies. The admissions criteria vary depending on what a student's status is. We offer conditional admission, provisional admission, and full admission. Full admission means the applicant fulfills all admission requirements and is a matriculated prospect for a degree. The conditional admission is for candidates who fulfill all requirements, however, you still need specific official documents. Once those documents are submitted to the Office of Admissions, the candidate's status changes to full admission. Provisional admission is for applicants with strong qualifications in other areas, but your GPA is below the minimum requirement for their program of choice. Provisional students must sustain at least a 2.5 GPA for a full scholastic year to be admitted as a regular student. ILT does accept credit transfers. Our Transfer of Credit Policy explains students are responsible for talking to your previous schools to have them send official transcripts directly to the Institute of Lutheran Theology. Students transferring credits from accredited theological seminaries need to get in touch with the registrar, though credit for work completed in undergraduate programs are not transferable to The Institute of Lutheran Theology graduate programs. No more than half the credits that apply to an ILT degree can come from other institutions, and credits from non accredited programs are considered on a case by case basis.
