Founded in 1961, The University of South Carolina Aiken, also known as USC Aiken, enrolls more than 3,000 students. It is a public, coeducational university that offers undergraduate and master's degree programs in the fields of history, biology, chemistry, math, engineering, philosophy, political science, psychology and fine arts. The university additionally provides graduate courses through the USC Extended Graduate Campus program. Its campus spreads across an area of over 450 acres. It maintains a library and offers sports activities, such as baseball, basketball, soccer, tennis, golf and volleyball. The University of South Carolina Aiken provides membership opportunities in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. It is a part of The University of South Carolina.
