Dr. Tonyan M. Thompson is a dedicated and accomplished medical professional with a robust background in patient care and clinic leadership. She is committed to patient-focused care where she prioritizes building strong relationships with both patients and healthcare teams. Dr. Thompson's completed her residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine Montefiore Medical Center, in New York where she also served as Chief Resident. Prior to that she earned her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy, from the University of the West Indies, followed by a Doctor of Medicine degree, with honors, from the All American Institute of Medical Sciences, in Jamaica. She also holds a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Central Connecticut State University. Dr. Thompson specializes in improving the function and quality of life for individuals affected by neurological conditions such as stroke, brain injury as well as those affected by musculoskeletal injuries, amputation, orthopedic conditions and pain syndromes. Her professional interests include inpatient rehabilitation, and musculoskeletal medicine. Dr. Thompson is passionate about global health initiatives. Her volunteer work, including rehabilitation missions to Jamaica, underscores a commitment to giving back to the community and improving health outcomes on a global scale.
