The S.C. High School League regulates athletics at schools in the state. The organization's executive committee comprises representatives from the State Department of Education, the Superintendent's Association, the Principal's Association and other educational organizations.
The league dates back to 1913, when educators worked with the University of South Carolina to form the Inter-High School Athletic and Oratorical Association.
The league's offices are now located in the same building as the South Carolina Association of School Administrators.
