Saluda Shoals Park provides educational, recreational and cultural opportunities to visitors along the banks of the Saluda River. The park offers a variety of amenities, such as 11,000-square-foot environmental education center and exhibition hall, 10,000 square-foot conference facility, and paved and unpaved trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding. It also has river observation deck, boat, ramp, canoe and kayak launch, picnic shelters and fish cleaning station. The park organizes guided river trips that include brief paddling instruction before leaving the park, interpretation along the way and a stop at an island. Its environmental education center provides onsite programs from kindergarten through grade eight that include life science, physical science and earth science.
