Roper St. Francis Healthcare was founded in 1988 by the merger of Roper and Bon Secours St. Francis Hospitals. It is a private nonprofit hospital and health care facility in South Carolina. The hospital consists of more than 600 beds and over 15 facilities. Roper St. Francis Healthcare employs approximately 3,000 people, including more than 700 physicians. It features cancer, chest pain, diabetes, eye surgery, heart, joint replacement, spine and vascular centers. The hospital offers community outreach, emergency, general surgery, pastoral care and volunteer services. Roper St. Francis Healthcare also has a home care center that provides nursing, rehabilitative and medical social services.
