Park Seed Company offers gardeners, through its catalogs and corresponding Web sites, choice seeds, plants, bulbs and gardening aids. These collections include flower and vegetable seeds, annual and perennial plants, shrubs and trees, seed-starting supplies, tools, garden art and gifts. In 1868, George Watt Park printed the company's first catalog in Libonia, Pa. It consisted of eight pages with two illustrations. In 1871, Park started a monthly magazine, The Floral Gazette, in which he offered gardening advice. The magazine s circulation grew to 20,000 in 1877 and topped 800,000 by 1918. Over the span of a century, the company has continued to evolve into one of the nation s largest family-owned, direct-marketing horticulture companies.
