Tina C. Outlaw has 22 years in the field of clinical social work. She began her career in the early 90s working with pregnant teenage girls in a rural health setting, Following that a stint in the cooperate insurance world as a provider representative for Tricare's behavioral health section. Then she worked with mental health setting up the first school-based counseling programs, clinical day program and assisting in writing the 21st Century grants establishing after school programs in Florence and surrounding areas. She has worked with group homes, set up domestic violence response teams focusing on child victims, worked with DJJ kids in wilderness camps, worked with active duty and veterans in the VA Outpatient Clinic and in a Military Treatment Facility doing Family Advocacy and setting up a children's treatment program that interfaced with school. For the last 8 years she has been building her private practice using Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Therapeutic Riding after work part time. In October 2009, she began working with this practice full time and hopes to get grant funding in 2010 to serve uninsured and underinsured children and families with medical, physical, emotional and behavioral challenges with this cutting edge therapy.
