McKissick Museum is located at the heart of the historic Horseshoe on the University of South Carolina's Columbia campus. It was established in 1976 to house collections dating to 1801, which provide insight into the long and illustrious history of the university. Free admission. Open to the public.

Very cute small museum on the campus of University of Columbia. It's free and open to the public. Great way to escape some of the heat and take a break in the ac while learning some history.
