History
The Lee County Veterans Museum was established as a repository for artifacts and information related to Lee County Veterans. It serves as a meeting place for Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #3096 and American Legion Post #29 and their members were instrumental in constructing the museum and its exhibits. Featured prominently is a tribute to Lee County's only Medal of Honor recipient, James Davison Heriot. A Memorial Park is situated in Downtown Bishopville also honoring Lee County's Veterans.
