Established in 1965, J. L. Mann high school is a public, coeducational secondary school offering education to students in grades nine through 12. It provides college preparatory courses in various subjects, including art, music, technical education, business, foreign languages, physical education and science. Additionally, it provides advanced placement courses in various subjects, such as English language and composition, calculus, statistics, computer science, physics, mechanics, chemistry, biology, environmental science, United States and European history, and French and German. The clubs and activities of the school include band, choir, drama, academic team, Golden Strip, drill team, National Honor Society, Voices of Harmony, and film, anime, art and newspaper clubs. The school also offers career counseling services and a media center with Internet access. It also provides various athletic programs and special education services. The school is located in Greenville, S.C., and is a part of Greenville County Schools.
