Established in 1972, the Holly Springs Volunteer Fire Department is a full-service public, community-oriented public safety agency that works to provide fire suppression, prevention, education and emergency medical services. The department operates a 13,300-square-foot facility. The Holly Springs Volunteer Fire Department has an education and communication division that conducts various public education and safety programs and offers information regarding fire prevention, holiday safety, and smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. It utilizes a fleet of apparatus that includes support and command vehicles, engines, rescue vans, tankers and brush units. The department is comprised of more than 30 full- and part-time firefighters, volunteers and support personnel. The Holly Springs Volunteer Fire Department also issues outdoor burning permits.
