Located in Florence, S.C., The Florence-Darlington Technical Education Center was established in 1963 and serves Florence, Darlington and Marion counties in South Carolina. The college also operates remote sites in Hartsville, Lake City and Mullins, S.C. The Florence-Darlington Technical Education Center operates the Advanced Welding and Cutting Center, Caterpillar Dealer Academy and CISCO Systems training laboratory. It also maintains a more than 800-seat auditorium, a conference center, manufacturing and prototyping laboratories and the National Robotics Training Center of Excellence. The college has an over 325,000 square feet of instructional space. The Florence-Darlington Technical Education Center has health and sciences, technical and general education, and division of online college and information technology divisions. It is accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs and the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs.
