Elizabeth MacInnis, MD, is an academic general internist who works in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Dr. MacInnis is a Wofford College graduate who obtained her medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia. She completed residency training at Prisma Health in internal medicine where she served as a Chief Resident during her final year of training. Her interests include care for adults with complex chronic medical conditions, inpatient acute hospitalizations and care for adults with developmental disabilities. She works in the Center for Adults with Developmental Disabilities (CADD) at Prisma Health's Ambulatory Care Center. She also works with medical students and resident physicians in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Finally, she enjoys being a primary care physician at the Ambulatory Care Center. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog, cooking, needlepoint, and the beach.
