Clemson Memorial Stadium is a stadium located in Clemson, South Carolina on the campus of Clemson University. Clemson Memorial Stadium currently houses the NCAA team the Clemson Tigers. The stadium opened as Memorial Stadium on September 19, 1942 with the construction taking just under one year at a cost of just over $125,000, $2.1 million in present day dollars. The latest renovation was in 2006, which added over 4,000 seats.
The Clemson Tigers are members of the Atlantic Coast Conference of the within National Collegiate Athletic Association. They are known by their team colors consisting of orange and purple. Their mascot is The Tiger. Past players include Charlie Whitehurst, Steven Jackson and Leroy Hill.
The stadium currently holds 81,500 fans. Currently, it is the 19th largest stadium in the NCAA. It is the 2nd largest in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The record for fan attendance was 86,092 in 1999 against the Florida State Seminoles. In terms of parking there is on-campus parking and satellite parking lots both containing general and reserved spots.
Season tickets have limited availability with prices starting around $400 for package deals. Individual tickets start at about $10 depending on the game. Tickets are available through the team website and ticket exchanges.
