Camp Chatuga, founded in 1956 and located in the Mountain Rest, S.C. is a summer camp for boys and girls ages 6 to 16. It's summer program features more than 30 activity choices, including horseback, water skiing, swimming, canoeing, drama, go-karts, guitar, creative writing and sports. Camp Chatuga is accredited by the American Camping Association. It also offers archery, tennis, arts and crafts, animal care, mountain biking, canoeing, weights, riflery, soccer and basketball. Its evening and special activities include an overnight campout, council ring campfires, talent show, masquerade party, New Years ball, treasure hunt, pirate supper, future dance, carnival, clue day, medieval feast, splash-n-dash talent night and counselor hunt.
