The Rhode Island School for Deaf offers a wide range of educational programs to more than 150 hearing-impaired students in prekindergarten through grade 12. It offers an elementary program, junior and senior high school, and early intervention and preschool programs. In addition, it provides a state-wide, home-based, early intervention program that serves infants up to five years. The school also offers a comprehensive diagnostic and evaluation center. It provides training and technical assistance to parents, public school programs, community groups and other agencies on a regional and statewide basis. It offers computer training programs and provides various recreational and leisure activities to students. The school also provides library, art and physical education to its students.
