Project GOAL is a 100% free coeducational program in Providence, RI that combines academic responsibility, tutoring, and mentoring with soccer training to inspire academic success among middle school students. Through targeted academic enrichment and licensed coaching, the initiative fosters academic and social accountability, ultimately producing compassionate and conscious community members.
Since its establishment in 2004, Project GOAL has positively impacted the lives of over 2,000 Rhode Island youth, providing them with after-school academic support and using soccer as an incentive for increased academic performance. With a focus on school retention and graduation rates, the program has maintained an impressive 96% high school graduation rate, with 90% of students going on to college.
