East Providence Fire Marshal
Volunteers first began responding to fires in East Providence in 1877. The first full-time firefighters started in 1911, and the department currently has about 120 members. They're trained in firefighting, fire prevention, emergency medical services, technical and marine rescues. In 2009, the department responded to about 10,500 calls. East Providence has four fire stations: Headquarters at 913 Broadway; Station 2 at 329 Bullocks Point Avenue in Riverside; Station 3 at 30 N. Broadway in Rumford; and Station 4 at 66 Wampanoag Trail in Kent Heights. The chief is Joseph Klucznik.
