East Bay Community Action Program is a private nonprofit corporation that provides a wide variety of health and human services to the residents of the east bay of Rhode Island. The program is governed by a 21-member board of directors who are representatives of the east bay s public sector, consumers, business, labor, religious welfare, education and significant minority groups in the community. Its services include head start and early head start programs, family health and dental services, youth programs, the East Bay Coalition for the Homeless, housing and energy services; the Women, Infants and Children Supplemental Feeding and Nutrition Program. Its family development and case management services include social service information and referral and basic human needs. East Bay Community Action Program also offers senior services, including case management, senior employment, the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, foster grandparents and the Ocean State Senior Dining Program. It has offices in Riverside and Newport, R.I.
