North Providence High School
North Providence High School offers education to more than 1,500 students in grades nine through 12. It is affiliated with the North Providence School District and its curriculum includes English, science, social studies, mathematics, computers, and health and physical education. It also offers courses in industrial technology, journalism, family and consumer sciences, business studies, agriculture and fine arts. It provides various extracurricular activities to students, including book and chess clubs, band, student council, National Honor Society, orchestra, peer mediators, newspaper, yearbook, and key and writer s clubs. The sports activities offered by the school include football, baseball, tennis, cross country, swimming, lacrosse, basketball, soccer, track and field, golf, hockey and cheerleading. It also provides additional services to students that include career counseling, crises intervention and scheduled transportation. The school is located in North Providence, R.I.
