There has been an Italian restaurant at this spot for about as long as anyone can remember, and Tony Micheletti has owned it for the last 25 years. His son, Anthony, carries on the family tradition, completing a major renovation in 2007 to "update the restaurant for the 21st century". The result is a casually elegant restaurant with a sleek menu that marries traditional Italian cuisine with contemporary bistro creativity. An extensive wine list and full dessert menu round out the offerings. Antonio's is a popular dinner spot and consistently receives enthusiastic reviews from local foodies. Reservations are recommended–particularly on weekends. Two large dining rooms are separated by the entrance hall, and beside it, a sumptuous bar with three quiet banquettes on the oposite side. The menu is available on the Web site, and it is updated regularly to keep it fresh and interesting. An outdoor terrace is open in warm weather, and the back dining room can be reserved for private parties.
