Center Point Elementary School, located in Birmingham, Ala., is affiliated with the Jefferson County School District. The school offers a variety of educational and cocurricular programs to students in grades kindergarten through five. Its core curriculum includes English, arts, music, science, social studies, mathematics and physical education. Center Point Elementary School also provides offers reading, writing, spelling, computer education, intervention, media studies, speech, and gifted and talented programs. The school additionally provides health and technology education, and programs for the vision impaired. It has a parent-teacher association that focuses on increasing awareness and participation in curriculum and policy development, by enhancing communication between home and school.
