Project A.L.S.' is the new paradigm for brain disease research. The mission is to recruit the world's finest scientists and clinicians to work together-rationally and aggressivelytoward an understanding of and the first effective treatments for ALS ( amyotrophic lateral sclerosis ), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. Project A.L.S.' was founded in 1998, as a non-profit 501C3, by Jenifer Estess, her family, and friends, when Jenifer was diagnosed with the fatal brain disease at the age of thirty-five. To date, Project A.L.S.' has raised $52 million, directing over 82% to research programs.
