In July 1929, Nathaniel Leverone and two partners founded Canteen Vending Company. He started with only 100 five-cent candy bar machines. His business strategy focused on three timeless principles ; integrity, innovation, and customer focus. Leverone's ideals created a new industry. It's a proud heritage that still packing a punch. Today, Canteen is the world's largest vending company serving over five million customers every day through 18, 500 client sites. Canteen of Berks County continues this tradition. We serve all of Berks County as well as other regions in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland. The West Family owns Canteen Berks County. C. William West started West Dairy in 1960 and it has grown into the largest milk and ice cream vending company in the country. Jeff West, Sr. is the current CEO of West Dairy, Inc He is currently on the board of the Pennsylvania Automated Merchandising Council ( past President ), President of the Automatic Merchandising Council of New Jersey, and Vice President of the Maryland/DC vending association. He has won awards and has served on committees for the National Automatic Merchandising Association. In 2005, Valley Vending acquired Brock & Co.'s vending division and continued to service accounts for their food service.
