Upper Merion Township in Pennsylvania has a population of more than 27,000 residents. It hosts over 50,000 jobs and offers nearly 9 million square feet of office space. The township has several wastewater treatment facilities that are assisted more than 10 pumping stations to serve the needs of over 8,580 private residences and nearly 793 commercial establishments. It administers a municipal recycling program that provides a system to source, separate and collect recyclable materials from commercial, institutional, multifamily, residential and municipal establishments. Upper Merion Township also conducts the Yard Waste Collection Program. The township operates police, business and administration, and park and recreation departments.
