HistoryKellie opened Sound of Shears on November 8th, 1983. Originally SOS was located on the Carlisle Pike for the first five years and then was moved to Shiremanstown, where we are located now. Wendy has been a committed employee and joined Kellie a year after she opened in Nov 1984. Many years after the opening of SOS and a few stylists in between Margo joined the team in May of 1997. Two years later Liz started her career at SOS in October of 1999. Over the years our team of four has grown to be a strong dedicated group of girls. They are committed to the love of hair and are eager to please every client that comes though our door. In 2016 Kellie decided to sell the business and on April 4 of 2017 Margo took over. We introduced a new stylist in April of 2019 Shelley Lindsay. We still remain the the same great place and now the five of us continue to stand in our same spots. SOS has been a great hair salon for many years and will continue to serve our clients for many more years to come.SpecialtiesWe are a fun-loving salon that is not only excellent at achieving artistic hair designs but we also provide a uniquely different but friendly atmosphere.
