History
The vintage past of The Metropolitan dates back to 1926, when famous French architect, Louis Jallade, was commissioned to design a 26-story twin-tower hotel in the heart of Center City Philadelphia. Original limestone details, terra cotta tiles, decorative arches and hand-carved cornices make this building an impressive presence from the street. Inside, you'll find an elegant lobby with detailed plaster friezes and delicate marble etchings.
