History
The Log Cabin in Seneca, at the intersection of East State Rd and State Route 257 was open around 1948 by Hubert James. At that time it was mainly a sandwich shop and was patronized by many people, mostly the youth of the community. During the winter the lot adjacent to the sandwich shop was flooded and used for ice skating. It was a delightful recreation center. Around 1951 it became known as the Log Cabin Steak House and was famous for serving delicious steak dinners. Today, the restaurant is know as the Log Cabin Family Restaurant, known for its American cuisine serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
