The Fasig House has a colorful history all of its own, and is a replica of a German open pen home that was taken apart log by log on S. Charlotte St. and reconstructed on E. High St. by all volunteer labor. Visitors can enjoy an in – person tour with a knowledgeable tour guide, who will lead visitors through the first floor to find various artifacts that date from the late 1700s to the late 1800s, diving into the life, work and culture of early German settlers in Manheim. Also, on the same site is the Keath House, an early Colonial - Era German log cabin believed to be one of the oldest in Manheim. The Keath House is truly a gem of the historical society. To preserve this house, it was moved intact to its current location. Tours are held from April to October on the 1st Thursday 5 - 9 pm and the 3rd Sunday 1-4 pm each month.
