History
The antecedent of the Chester County Bar Association was an organization known as the Chester County Law Library and Miscellaneous Association. This institution originated in the 1860's. It used certain statutory fines to purchase books for the law library, which the Association operated and maintained. The current form of the Chester County Bar Association filed its Articles of Incorporation in 1947.

We provide the Lawyer Referral Service for Chester County, Pennsylvania and sponsored by the Chester County Bar Association. Referrals in all areas of law are made, with an initial fee of $25 for the first half-hour. We maintain a list of attorneys in all locations in Chester County, and all attorneys must be insured.
