Gift of Life Donor Program
Founded in 1974, the Gift of Life Donor Program is nonprofit agency that serves the residents of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. It is one of the largest organ and tissue procurement agencies in the United States. The agency is responsible for recovering and distributing organs and tissues used in life-saving and life-enhancing transplants. The Gift of Life Donor Program also responds to skin, tissue and repair injuries. With a staff of more than 100 full- and part-time professionals, it serves over 10 area transplant centers where heart, kidney, liver, lung and pancreas transplants are performed. The agency facilitates with the recovery of skin, bone, corneas and other tissue for donation purposes.
