Founded in 1938, St. Tikhon's Orthodox Seminary is a faith-based educational institute that provides three-year degree and four-year non-degree postsecondary programs for graduates. Its academic curriculum includes history, theology, music, patristic, field education and foreign languages, such as Greek and Russian. The school additionally provides cooperative and internship program for students. It maintains a library that provides curriculum-related materials and a variety of leisure reading options for students, as well as offers links to search engines. The school also operates a counseling department that offers information on scholarship opportunities, graduation requirements and career planning. It is accredited by the Association of Theological Schools and Commission on Accrediting. The school is a part of St. Tikhon's Orthodox Monastery, which offers spiritual and academic services. St. Tikhon's Orthodox Seminary is located in South Canaan, Pa.
