Founded in 1846, Saint Vincent College is a coeducational, catholic, liberal arts center and comprises four schools. Based in Latrobe, Pa., the college divisions include several departments and major/minor programs for undergraduate and graduates. It offers special programs and public service outreach activities. Special programs include Challenge for senior/junior students, Common Texts Project and an Honors program. Saint Vincent College offers undergraduate and graduate credit courses in all major academic disciplines during summer session studies in art, biology, chemistry, business, health sciences, political science, psychology, Spanish and biology, among others. Additionally, it offers cooperative programs in law, occupational therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy and physician assistant. Saint Vincent College has received accreditation from the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.
