Founded in 1921, Royer-Greaves School for Blind, also known as RGS, is a nonprofit institute that offers educational and training solutions for children and adults with visual and hearing impairments. The school serves students between the ages of 5 and 21. It also administers an adult residential program that features options to participate in a selection of activities, such as music, athletics, and arts and crafts. Royer-Greaves School for Blind features a gymnasium, adult training facility, library and swimming pool. The school publishes a semiannual newsletter that features information related to activities. In addition, it offers instruction in Braille, math, reading, cooking, and money and time skills. Royer-Greaves School for Blind provides holiday and visitor day programs.
