Founded in 1985, The Renfrew Center is the first residential eating disorder treatment facility in the United States. It is a women's mental health center with locations in Pennsylvania, Florida, New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, North Carolina, and Tennessee. The center specializes in the treatment of anorexia, bulimia and binge eating disorders. The Renfrew Center has helped more than 50,000 women and girls overcome their eating disorders. As a nationwide professional resource network, it also offers treatment programs trauma, anxiety, depression and other women's issues. The center provides various residential, transitional living, transitional living, intensive outpatient and extended care programs. With a location in Bryn Mawr, Pa., The Renfrew Center is accredited with The Joint Commission.
