The Philadelphia Folk Song Society is a membership group that focuses on the appreciation of folk music in the Philadelphia area. The organization is roughly 50 years old and has been perpetuating the art of folk music through its annual Philadelphia Folk Fest for many years. The festival takes place on an old farm outside the city and is held at the end of every summer. The location itself serves an office for volunteers to collect funds from contributors and members. Harmonica lessons are also available in the upstairs section of the office.
