From a small store front office on Main Street in Sandy Lake, Pa., to nearly 10 branches in eight localities, Mercer County State Bank has grown from assets of $185,970 in 1912 to assets totaling more than $233 million. Mercer County Sate Bank was chartered on June 20, 1911. It was the result of a reorganization of the Sandy Lake Bank, which was organized in 1873, and the Mercer County Bank, which was organized in 1893. The bank offers a variety of checking account options, such as personal checking, small business checking, business advantage checking, hi-fi money market checking, hometown advantage checking, premium checking, eChecking and home free checking accounts, as well as overdraft protection. Its savings products include Christmas Club and statement accounts, certificates of deposit, individual retirement accounts and Coverdell Education savings accounts. It provides loans for demand and time notes, home equity, installments, construction and mortgages. Mercer County State Bank maintains a location in Clintonville, Pa.
