Located on the banks of the scenic Delaware River, this land was named Tekening by the Lenni Lenape Indians. The phrase means "in the wood." The preserve boasts five miles of wooded hiking trails offering views of the Delaware River. Hikers can enjoy the scenic woodlands, geological formations and wildlfowers found along the west bank of the river. The preserve's natural beauty shines through in the Foul Rift Natural Area, which is noted for its abundance of native plants, mature and diverse forest, unusual rock formations and incrediable views of the Delaware River.
