It also provides standby emergency service for football games and other events. Training is available to residents who wish to volunteer. Central Bucks Ambulance & Rescue Unit

In 2011, this ambulance group will mark 60 years of service to the Doylestown area. Today, the organization provides emergency medical response for Doylestown and the surrounding areas. Though it does get some tax money from local governments, most of its services are paid for by those who use the ambulance. It has about 50 paid staff members and an equal number of volunteers. The Doylestown headquarters usually houses three ambulances.
