HistoryHella Fresh Theater started in San Francisco. We first produced plays at the Phoenix Theater in 2009. In 2010 we moved to Philadelphia and built the Papermill Theater in Kensington. We produced three full seasons of new plays, working closely with Automatic Arts. We moved to Los Angeles in 2014. We produced five plays in our apartment. In 2018, we moved back to Philly and started working in the Papermill Theater once again! Hooray!SpecialtiesHella Fresh Theater is an independent theater company. We find good actors who are nice people and we write plays based on them. We rehearse the play for a month and then put it up in our apartment. This is site-specific theater that takes place in an apartment. The audience sits on big, comfy chairs in our living room and watches a play from three feet away. Our new play, Partial, Fractional and Promised opens in October.
