History
The Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau (PMVB) is a private, non-profit, membership organization established in 1934. We are the official destination marketing organization for the four counties of Carbon, Monroe, Pike and Wayne in northeastern Pennsylvania. Navigate your way to information available on the many services offered by the PMVB. The PMVB strives to promote, educate and attract visitors to the beautiful Pocono Mountains. Additionally, we aim to keep our members abreast to the latest in regulation, changes in the industry and business development in the Pocono Mountains.

The Lake Wallenpaupack Visitors Center is one of the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau's three visitors centers. The center provides tourist information specific to the Lake Wallenpaupack area including Hawley, PA and Honesdale, PA, in addition to the entire four county region of the Pocono Mountains. Visit the center to learn more about attractions, recreational activities, dining and lodging on, and around, Lake Wallenpaupack. The Pocono Mountains offer four seasons of endless fun and a tremendous variety of diversions, such as luxurious resorts, fun things to do for the whole family, outdoor adventures, bed and breakfasts and more. The Pocono Mountains is famous for its resorts, natural scenic beauty, 150 lakes including Lake Wallenpaupack, and the quaint, historical towns in the four county area.
