Officially designated historical society for Jefferson County, Pennsylvania. JCHC Museum showcases many unique exhibits depicting the history of Jefferson County and the surrounding areas through hands-on learning, informational videos, life-sized displays, and more. Our research facility provides an extensive library, public computers, genealogy resources, and searchable archive database relating to the history of the county. The gift shop is filled with publications, logo apparel, educational items, toys, and local souvenirs. We host a variety of family-friendly events including Scripture Rocks guided tours, cemetery tours, bicycle poker run, Bowdish Model Railroad operating days, and exhibit/ trade shows showcasing Indian artifacts, antique rifles, war memorabilia and collectibles.
