Benita is a Registered Architect in PA and NJ and a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Design Professional. She holds an MArch from Harvard University, and a BA in Architecture and BA in Art from University of Washington. Benita's professional experience began in 1995; her work has been recognized by awards from American Institute of Architects and American Architectural Foundation, and has been featured in Harvard Design Magazine, Architectural Record, Society of American Registered Architects Magazine, Philadelphia Magazine, Foobooz and Eater. Benita has taught college level studios and professional practice courses at University of Washington and University of Pennsylvania, and has been a design critic at Rhode Island School of Design, Boston Architectural College and Philadelphia University. In addition, she hosts special workshops and events for the youth of Philadelphia and Haddonfield to engage the community and empower the next generation of aspiring designers and builders. Program partners include Haddonfield Public Library.
